Launching tomorrow is the first ever #MCEOTalk hosted by yours truly! Our first topic for discussion is “What it takes to be a Millennial Leader.”

You might ask, “what is a millennial, and why is that important?”

Millennials are defined as the generation following Generation X. There are no precise dates when the generation starts and ends, however, researchers and commentators use birth years ranging from the early 1980s to the early 2000s.

That’s not what we are talking about here.

What I am referring to is the Millennial mindset. But, what exactly is the Millennial mindset?

To me, the millennial mindset is how I live day to day. I want flexibility, not chained to a desk 9-5. I want open collaboration (true story: I founded a co-working space in my hometown due to the longing for this), I want to work with the best talent regardless of sex, race, religion, etc.I want a culture at work that encourages sharing, caring and empowers employees to be advocates.  I want a company that wants ME as much as I want the job. I want the latest and greatest technology available to me not because I want toys, but because most times it helps create a more efficient work flow. I no longer want to hear “we’ve always done it this way”, I want to hear, “how can we make it better.”

Yea, thats the Millennial mindset.

What really gets me excited about hosting #MCEOTalk is that we are going to be working with some of the best Millennial talent around the interwebs and beyond.

I get the chance to launch #MCEOTalk with some awesome names. Carlos Gil from LinkedIn, Ginny Torok of Traackr and Aseem Badshah of Socedo all join us in our inaugural broadcast.  I am super excited to get this off the ground and work with the amazing team at MillennialCEO, Daniel Newman, Rachel Miller, Brian Fanzo, Christin Kardos and Dom Garrett, these wonderful individuals are the brains behind the operation, and fortunately, for me, I get to be the face.

Join me every Wednesday night, 9:00pm EST, only on #MCEOTalk!
